Article: All iPhones, iPads and Mac computers are affected by microchip flaw that leaves devices vulnerable to hackers, Apple says

Oftentimes there’s a dispute between Team Droid and Team Apple. We hold allegiance to brands that do not benefit us. While I often argue for Team Droid, I know that the manufacturers want our loyalty which lead to us spending our hard earned cash with them. This results in abundant profits for all manufactures and contracting funds for all of us consumers.

This blog is pointing out how Apple manipulated their consumers with the “No hacking hardware and software”. See the link below explaining what Apple said about the vulnerability of ALL of their iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers.

This is just food for thought, instead of arguing minutiae, let’s use our critical thinking and argument skills for improvement of more important issues.

Everyday Black History – Billie Holiday

I remember watching movies; going to plays; and learning about Billie Holiday growing up. Such an interesting and beauti ful woman with a great voice. She also had a lot of sadness.

She received four posthumous Grammy awards, for Best Historical Album. She, herself, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame 1973.

Everyday Black History – Dick Gregory

He fought for our rights almost up to his last day. He took on a range of issues, including ending the Vietnam War; feminism; Native-American rights; and apartheid in South Africa.

Many didn’t know that he received a lot of funding from Hugh Hefner. Read more about Dick Gregory and many others from Urban Intellectuals Black History Flash Cards. Click here for more information on purchasing options at my affiliate website.

Everyday Black History- Redlining

Often it is argued that Black Americans are lazy. That we have no drive or determination. That all other marginalized groups enter the US and are successful, therefore it proves that we are shiftless and good for nothing.

As an author it is beat in your head to not write in passive voice. The argument goes that one performs the act and not have the act performed on them. Well…sometimes.

Have you heard or learned about redlining? Well, let me tell you something. In order to determine where and where not; who and who not to sell houses or give loans, banks would draw a redline to mark areas where banks would not make loans.

It’s not by mistake, it’s by design. This practice, now illegal, although I’m not sure for how long, meant that banks would offer loans to lower-income whites but not to middle and upper-income Blacks. Things that make you go hmm…?
